I might post it once finished.

Always cool to see you work.Kelston Hublerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05221212213305763537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575643820108813603.post-24152496081652763302015-02-15T12:47:57.059-08:002015-02-15T12:47:57.059-08:00Very kind comments from all o you; Thanks! :) I...Very kind comments from all o you; Thanks! :) I'll be meeting Joakim tomorrow, and show him the blog post.

Shelley: Glad you enjoyed our little film. Joakim is a very composed guy. Some of our participants in this project are over stimulated, other so docile you hardly know they're there. But Joakim is very easy to work with and very much aware of what's possible and what's not. But I try to erase the "not".
I guess that some parts of the story was just plain mystery to you, but you can read up on the escapades of the youthful Odin and find out what we were up to.
I'm a decent After Effects craftsman. I'm still learning by doing :)

Kelston: Yes, I tried to give Nidhögg a bit of character. It's a very modest confrontation between him and Odin, but that's all we had time for.
I have actually made an ink drawing of the sea monster battle from "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" many years ago. It's posted on a Swedish web site. But I might make another one for DeviantArt :)Richard Svenssonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15379574381914082334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575643820108813603.post-33985840253664333792015-02-15T12:47:30.110-08:002015-02-15T12:47:30.110-08:00This comment has been removed by the author.Richard Svenssonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15379574381914082334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575643820108813603.post-79541538742014237182015-02-15T09:08:07.574-08:002015-02-15T09:08:07.574-08:00Nidhogg has a great design! A lot of good character for a single scene!

Pick personally think stop motion is better than photo manipulation, it just moves smoother and allows a greater variety of action.

I'm glad to see all these cool new projects. I have some projects of my own, including ARARANKHA and atomic.

I have an art commission: can you draw the sea monster battle from Journey to the Centre of the Earth? I've seen how well you can draw, I think that would be some cool art.

Kelston Hubler

Kelston Hublerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05221212213305763537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575643820108813603.post-38754720594117250512015-02-14T23:11:52.763-08:002015-02-14T23:11:52.763-08:00Wow! so great! The sound of Swedish by the narrator was so Dulcet.

My favorite sequence--hard to imagine-- was the forest, snail and your incredible walking mushrooms! Love them for their pure magic.

And lastly, I'm jealous of your familiarity in After Effects. I long for that.

Great work!Shelley Noblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10968333057020378002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575643820108813603.post-69450845271400381372015-02-14T22:58:45.042-08:002015-02-14T22:58:45.042-08:00Richard! I love how you are using stop mo to exercise and expand the abilities of these kids!

I love the collage look of the shots and find the mix of 2D/3D elements to be additive rather than a fault.

I love the concept (of course!) of creatures "...inhabiting the desolate world before the real world is created."

Now to go watch the clip....>>>Shelley Noblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10968333057020378002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6575643820108813603.post-19746085857970075432015-02-14T09:15:35.570-08:002015-02-14T09:15:35.570-08:00so much work, and so many effects. The greenscreen work looks great as well as the dragon puppet. castlegardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08695275926141356514noreply@blogger.com
